You recently stayed in a hotel in a large city. The weather was very unusual for the time of year and the heating / cooling system in the hotel was quite inadequate.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter:
give details of what went wrong
explain what you had to do to overcome the problem at the time
say what action you would like the manager to take
Dear Mr. Jones,
Last weekend, I have stayed in your hotel due to no transportation services running on road due to the heavy storm and raining in Toronto. I booked a small room for only one night as next morning I had to travelled back to Vancouver. However, I received a poor hospitality services from your hotel.
Let me explain in your brief what had happened during my stay at your hotel. Firstly, the heating system was not working in your hotel which made my room cold. I got sick next morning due to non-functional facility of heating system. Secondly, in the midnight, I ordered a hot chocolate coffee and cookies, but I received it in the morning. This kind of hospitality I had never seen in my life.
Due to the order I received in the morning, I had to took a sleeping pill medicine because of the shivering in my body due to the cold weather outside. Eventually, I got ill and had to stay on sick leaves during my work days.
Therefore, I would like you to suggest to improve your hotel services by changing your air-cons in the rooms and provide some good training to your hotel staff. I hope you will share a response to my feedback through this letter and refund my money which I paid to enjoy your hospitality.
I am looking forward to hearing from your soon.
Yours sincerely,
Shwatank Bhasin
