You recently stayed in a hotel in a large city. The weather was very unusual for the time of year and the heating / cooling system in the hotel was quite inadequate.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter:
give details of what went wrong
explain what you had to do to overcome the problem at the time
say what action you would like the manager to take
You do NOT need to write your own address.
Dear Sir/ Madam
I am XXX, a frequent customer of your hotel . I am writing to make a complaint about the service of the room number 3044 on 23th, June.
I received my room at 9.pm. The weather was extremely hot. I asked the reception to give me a quiet room because I needed a good sleep after a long flight and was assured that the room is in excellent condition.
However, at 11 pm, the air condition kept making a strange noise. I had to use a ear plugs to sleep. But that is not all, at 2 am, it started leaking and the water dropped right on my face. I called the reception to ask for a room change but unfortunately, the rooms were full. The repair man came but he could not fix it and he gave me a fan instead. It was so hot to use the fan and it was noisy, too. I almost did not get any sleep that night. I was deeply disappointed and this is the worst hotel room I have ever stayed.
I would like to ask for 50% refund for that miserable night of stay and a free upgrade next time.
I look forward to your reply.
Yours sincerely, XXX
