You work for an international company, and would like to spend six month working in its head office in another country.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter,
- Explain why you want to work in the company's office for six months
- say how your work could be done when you are away
- ask for his/her help in arranging it
Dear Abhijeet,
I am writing this letter to request you allow me for six month assignment at our company's head office in Piscataway.
As you are already aware about my new assignment in which we need to implement the cloud solution as per our business' requirement. Looking at the complexity of this project, it requires continuous communication from business for requirement gathering and continuous feedback. Moreover, the crucial implementation like this also need guidance from our IT leadership team which is sitting at the headquarters. Therefore being there for next six months for me is vital for successful delivery of this project.
Since this project contributes to 80% of my planned work for next six months, I can manage to do other piece of work from there. However, to manage other work which can't be managed from there, I can give the handover before I leave.
I would request you to approve my application and help me in arrangements of visa and travel . Also I would be highly obliged if you could also help me with the accommodation arrangements.
Looking forward for your response.
Yours sincerely,
XYZ
