Dear Jason,
I am writing to let you know about my interest in working from the Company's head office in the UK for a short period. As you know, I always wanted to have international work exposure, therefore, a short-term transfer to headquarters would help me meet this goal and at this time, when the majority of company’s business is being transitioned to the India office, training on those upcoming assignments from head office employees, who already have expertise, would benefit both me and our team.
I understand that this deputation should not hamper my ongoing work assignment in the India office and for taking care of this I have all the setup in my laptop, which will allow me to work remotely from the UK so that deliverables are not affected. Additionally, our team is now cross-trained and can help in the hours when I am not available.
This short-term transfer program plan would not be successful without your support and I request you to please check with the higher management about the possibility of arrangement of this transfer opportunity on my behalf. I would set up a meeting with you next week, to discuss this in detail.
