Your local newspaper is going to held a competition to reward the best person who has done the most to help local community. Letter to editor.

In your letter, you should tell:

who the person is
how you know this person
how he/she has helped the community
why you think the person could win this competition.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter in connection to the competition for rewarding the ideal person who has made the most contributions to our community.

I would like to introduce you Xiao Han who is my colleague and the leader of Xiao Han Volunteer Group. I have known her for over 6 years since I started to work in my current company. She is a friendly lady and she provided plenty of assistance to my work.

She teamed up with several friends and established the Group approximately 5 years ago. She has been leading the group and offering aids to local residents who are aged or sick. In addition, her group also provide food and daily supplies to unemployed or even homeless citizens who could not afford them.

Based on her accomplishment, I believe she deserves the prize. She has done so much for the locals and I never know anybody who has done a better job than she did.

I hope you could take Xiao Han into consideration and I definitely hope she could win.

Yours faithfully,
Jerry Wang
