Why might this be the case?

In numerous nations, young individuals often aspire to become homeowners rather than opting for rental accommodations. I think there are several factors contributing to this trend, and in my view, it reflects a positive mindset.
People aspire to own a home as they seek independence from landlords. Renters cannot change their rental homes and must pay monthly rent. Besides, landlords can end leases or raise rent anytime. These issues lead many to choose homeownership. Another key reason is that owning a home shows maturity and financial stability. Affording a house signifies readiness to settle down and provide for a family. In Vietnam, owning a house is seen as successful, earning respect, and making someone a good marriage candidate.
In my view, I think this is a positive mindset. To start, a home serves not just as a residence but also as an investment. Property values usually go up over time, and having a home can be viewed as a long-term savings plan. Many individuals accumulate wealth by holding onto properties and selling them later at substantial profits, especially in large cities. Another advantage of owning a home is the positive impact on mental well-being. Homeowners don't have to worry about rent-related issues, allowing family members to live comfortably and freely in their own homes.
In conclusion, people want to be homeowners because they seek independence from landlords. This is also a way to show their success. I believe that this mindset is beneficial for both owners and their families in many aspects.
