Throughout history, people have dreamed of living in a perfect society, but they have not agreed on what an ideal society would be like. What do you think is the most important element of a perfect society in the modern world? How can people work towards achieving an ideal society?

From the earliest ancient civilizations to the present day, humanity has constantly been searching and aspiring for a utopia with fulfilled needs and perpetual prosperity for humankind. Yet, we are still uncertain about the complete concept of this perfect society, as well as its constituent elements. In this essay, the most fundamental element of an ideal society, which I personally believe to be agriculture, will be analyzed before presenting several strategies for countries to achieve prosperity.

There are various factors attributed to a utopia in modern days, chief among them is sustainable agriculture. Indisputably, food is a basic need of humankind as it is essential for the energy generation and metabolism process which fuels all human activities, from breathing and walking to heavy work and logical inference. Without sufficient food supplies, citizens might incur physical defects and lack well-being due to poor diet and malnutrition, which might adversely impact societal health. This can lead to numerous ramifications, especially its threats to the predominant labor force who require adequate nutrition to maintain their productivity. To exemplify, some African nations like Nigeria and Congo, which paid most attention to developing industry and exploiting minerals in the past century, are now suffering terrible food crises due to the inability to provide enough food and the lack of agrarian development. Consequently, famines have inhibited those nations from thriving and kept them in poverty and impoverishment for decades despite their abundance of resources and labor. Moreover, as the population is rapidly proliferating around the globe, it is crucial for nations to give more consideration to developing agriculture in order to guarantee food security. Therefore, a long-term and developed agrarian industry should take precedence over other elements due to its pivotal and fundamental importance to modern society.

In order to construct an ideal society, besides the imperative demand for investment in agriculture, there are several elements that should be taken into consideration. The first one is education, due to its immense importance to labor quality, which directly determines the development in all areas of a country. To truly develop this, nations should abolish or diminish tuition fees to make education more affordable and accessible to every citizen, which also implies constructing more schools and educational infrastructure in all regions. Secondly, countries need to create a sustainable economy that mainly targets green and environmentally friendly fields like electric products or biotourism. By implementing this, more jobs will be created, which can help citizens attain a stable livelihood and heighten their income. Thus, it would also foster global trade and economic activities while still preserving environmental values, which are crucial for an ideal society.

In conclusion, agriculture should be regarded as the fundamental factor constituting a perfect country. Other elements like education or a stable economy should also receive attention from future planners and all humankind. There are numerous steps to fully attain them, but they are necessary for human society to thrive and gain prosperity, becoming an ideal and worth living place for all people.
