What can we do to help protect wildlife around the world?

Animals are an important part of the natural ecocycle. Recent studies suggest that there has been a 50% of decline in the number of wild animals in past five decades. I deem that this issue can be solved by taking some effective steps by government. This essay will discuss the possible solutions to overcome this problem.

First and foremost, government and authorities should pass some strict rules and regulations regarding wildlife conservation while stopping deforestation and development in wild areas as well as to conserve natural habitats. Illegal poaching and hunting of wild animals has become popular lately which is one of the main cause of decline of Rhino’s popilation in Africa. Thus, there should be saperate official body to stop and punish such criminals. At the same time, instead of expanding human residencial boundaries, governments ought to focus on building more high-rised buildings and infrastructures within the city limits.

Besides this, allocating a large budget for the scientific expriments for wildlife conservation is the need of an hour. Scientists need modern resources and infrastructure to research the problems behind the phenomenon of decline in wildlife population. To exemplify, Lion population in Geer Forest in India was on the verge of the extinction. But Indian government funded a team of scientists to resolve the problem and reacted proactively, as a result, India is on the tops the list of highest number of lions in a nation around the world.

In recapitulation, it is an undeniable fact that wildlife population has significantly reduces in last decades, but it can be solved by some proactive steps from authorities as well as strict rules and regulations.
