Some students prefer classes with frequent discussions between the professor and the students with almost no lectures. Other students prefer classes with many lectures and almost no discussions. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

I prefer a lot of lectures in my class. That is because I like to read and that is a powerful tool to understand something to me. I concentrate a lot when I am reading. Then when I finished to read, I can ask some questions but that questions are going to be short. I don´t like the classes with frequent discussions between the professor and the students because the students do not have the same level of knowledge of some topic and the students who know less could be confused by the complex questions of the students who know more. I remember when I studied in the university that one teacher used to have long conversations with the students in his class and most of his students did not understand the class and they took the class again the next period. I hate that kind of class. But I have to be more specific with reading books, the books have to be clear and must be tested by the professor before giving this to the students. I remember when I was child, my teacher gave me a book that he read only the first page. I could not understand anything, and I have to ask everything to my teacher after reading it. A good teacher should read first the book and then if he did not understand he should not give that to his students. It is important for me to ask, but only if it is necessary. For example, if I read a book and I do not understand something very specific I will ask. I think an asking time is necessary after reading a book, but it will be more efficient because for sure the time will be very short if the student understood.
