Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
To improve the quality of education, universities should spend more money on salaries for university professors.
Is giving more money solve the education problems? Or more money can motivate professors to improve their knowledge? Therefore, I think that this statement is fundamentally incorrect; if universities give more money to the professors, they could improve quality of the education; and I totally disagree with the statement. I want to reinforce my opinion from the following aspect.
By the began with, I think that universities should give devote those monies to the libraries, opening new lab in a short term try to improve the quality of the university. Therefore, good professors and elite student themselves interacted to the university. For example, I want to choose a university for my PhD and I concede to universities equipment and their libraries and lab in my major.
The later reason why I generally disagree with the statement is that by devoting lots of money to the professors, university can't force to its professors to update themselves and make studies in the new fields. Professor, must motivate to improve and update themselves, since with every passing day, world are developed and we see lots of changes in the scient, so if a professor don't improve it is knowledge they just educate old fashion formulaic problems to his/ her students.
The last but not the least, I think that giving money for the student is better than the professors like a financial aid. Because one of the most of the student I also involved challenges are the universities dorm and textbook fees and I think that if university give reward for the top 10 students in the all majors like make discount in the register fee or gives their text book in short take them easy and make them exception, it will give student more motivate to improve themselves. For instance, when I study my master university announced that they want to wave top 3 student register fees, therefore, I saw that all of the student just studied in the libraries at least me can improve my grads.
All in all, university just improve the professor live condition not their knowledge which in turn the education qualities, but universities can hire new professors and change some of them to improve. However, some people think that by spending more salaries to the professor universities can improve their education, based on the reasons I mentioned above I totally disagree with statement
