No one can deny that there are negative and positive aspect of comparing the comfortability of life in the olden days to the nowadays life. To begin with, the aspect of comfortablity when it come to communication is more advance now compare to the periods of our grandparents. People all over the world can conveniently communicate nowadays to their loved ones and family compare to the olden days where people only communicate via letter and sometimes this letter takes months before it gets the recipient destination. I have to admit my stance on this subject has been profoundly influenced by the story my grandma told me. She said many years back when she was dating her first love, there was not internet connection to cumminicate like we enjoy today, she said she had to send letter to the man who was living far away, and this letter gets delivered late and the lack frequent communication between caused the relationship to collapse. If it were to be nowadays, the relationship would not have collapsed because there is internet connection now to make people reach out to one another at will. As a result of my grndma's story, communication has made life more comfortable now than in the olden days.
Secondly, in terms of transportation, life is more comfortable now than in the olden days. As we know, transportation is the movement of people from one place to the other. We now have vehicles, airplanes, ships etc as a source of transportation and these have really aid easier and faster movement of people than in the olden days. For instance, going in the memory lane, horses were the source of movement and we this animal to be very slow, transporters tends to spends days on journeys that should take more than hours nowadays as related to my by grandma. As a result of this, life of people is more comfortable now than in the olden days.
In the light of above mentioned reasons, its my strong beleive that life in the nowadays is more comfortable than life in the olden days.
