Essay topics:

Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they cast doubt on the specific points made in the reading passage.

The reading and lecture are both about the driverless car which can be operated using sensor or computer. The author of the reading states, driverless cars are more efficient than that of the cars which require human. The lecturer disagrees. He mentions although it can be used without humans, it is not that reliable and attacks each of the claim made in the article.
The author of the writing begins by stating that driverless cars make less error than human. So, it is more safer to use for all. The lecturer points out there are flaws in the author’s position.Although, these cars don’t need human to operate these are actually made by human. In this regad, it doesnot make any sense to state that driverless cars make no mistakes at all.
According to the writer, driverless cars are better for environment. It makes less pollution. The speaker on other hand rebuts the argument. He mentions, once driverless cars are made available, more people will start to use. Thus,it will affect the environment.
Also, the reading passage says using driverless cars people will have more time as they need not to focus on driving. This will saves time for them to do whaterever activity they would like to do.The speaker states people find driving more relaxing. Thus although it saves people’s time,it might be the another way to work.Having spare time allow them to do work while driving as well.
To sump up,both the reading and lecture are both about the driving cars. The lecturer effectively challenges the points made in the article.
