Summarize the reading and the lecture

Both the reading and the lecture discuss whether the science of archaeology meet limitations in Britain. While the reading continues to endorse this notions by stating several
reasons, the lecture fully contradicts with them.
To begin with, the author claims that worthy objects were lost when carrying out construction. Nevertheless, the professor indicates that before the construction took place, there were examines to discover whether sites remained. If there were something, the government would plan to keep or excavate those precious artifacts.
Secondly, the writer states that archaeologists complained about the inadequate financial support. The lecturer thoroughly opposes this opinion. She says that the government didn't pay for the archaeological research but the construction company. They purchased for the check of cites so the archaeologist actually had further grant.
Finally, the reading tells that having a job in archaeology was really tough. However, the lecturer mentions that there were loads of work to do during processing the project. She gives examples of doing research, writing paper,... to illustrate the increase of jobs in archaeology.
