The professor refutes this fact by stating that the committe's assessments were not objective enough. they were infact biased and not trustworthy because the commiittee was consisted of Peary's friends and they only spend a small period of two days to investigate.

Second, the article claims that a recent expedition by Avery was conducted by using thw same kind of the dog sled and the same breed of dogs and it was consistent with Peary's account. However, the professor contends that despite some similiarities these expeditions had diffrent conditions. First, the Avery's sled weighted much less due the fact that he didn't bring his food with him and his food was thrown for him by airpanes. Second, Avery conduct his expedition in good climate condition but this wasn't the case for Peary's expedition.

Third, the reading avers that analyzing the shadows of Peary's photographs provides strong evidence that he reached the North Pole and took photographs there.
