The pie charts illustrate, the average amount of food consumption throughout the world and which compared with two main countries like India and China during the year of 2008. Units
are measured in percentage.
Overall, both countries show different food consumption from the world average, processed food was the most significant food item over the world (41%) and also in China and India (34% and 39% respectively), while in the world the least priority was nuts and seeds in 2008.
As it is observed, vegetables and fruits accounted for the next important consumed foods in China (32%) in contrast to India (23%), whereas, which comprised of 29% in world food consumption.
Regarding animal food, India was the highest level about 27% whilst, only 15% Chinese had eaten by non vegetarian food. Furthermore, 26% of the world average consumption of food was animal food. Moreover, in terms of nuts and seeds 19% of Chinese includes this on their food cart, while, a mere 11% Indians like to eat such foods.
