Given are the diagrams providing clear information about the amount of people in terms of gender in full-time and part time employment in Australia during 1973-1993. A glance at the graph reveals that, there are noticeable differences between the percentages of part-time and full-time males and females.
Referring to the graph it is clearly seen that the percentages of full time males have decreased during 20 years and fluctuated between 5 % and 85 % in 1993. In contrast the amount of males who work part time has increased between 1973 and 1993 except males aged 60 and over.
According to the chart it can also be observed that proportions of females fluctuated more than their counterparts. In comparison with 1973, in 1993 the indicators of full-time women slightly changed reached the peak which indicates approximately 55 %. Furthermore, women who are 35-39, showed the greatest proportion of part time work which was 13 % more than in 1973.
Overall, the major conclusion drawn from this chart is that people are likely not to work after they are 65 and over.
