The bar graph displays male and female population aged over fifteen in each part of the world who can read and write. Figures are given in percentage. Overall it can be seen that number of male people who literate is higher than female in every sample region of the world
To begin with, Africa and Asia which have much lower rates than the others, average number of literate people is below 80%. The number of African females is the lowest, at 38.5%. Even the African man is at 61.7%, significantly higher than female, but Africa is still the region which has the lowest percentage of literate people. While Asia population both male and female are higher than Africa. Percentage of literate Asian female is at 66 and male is slightly higher than female by 10.6%, at 76.6%.
Moving on to the rest three parts, America, Europe, and Oceania. America and Oceania population both male and female have an average percentage of literate people at near 90%. However, in both parts, male barely higher than female. Lastly, Europe has the highest percentage both male and female, the percentage of the female is at 96.2% and the make is gradually higher than female, at 97.7%.
