In 2011, Sweden's divorce rate was the highest to compare with Finland, nearly 45% and under 40% respectively. Especially, in 2012 the proportion of divorce in Sweden reached a peak of nearly a half, while this figure for Finland hit a bottom and stay at just over 30%.
During the next four years, Sweden's divorce rate witnessed a huge decline, especially from 2012 to 2015, in which the percentage significantly dropped by around 11%, making this country fell behind Finland where experienced a slight rose to nearly 40% in the percentage of divorce in 2013, then continued its reduction from the previous period and stayed at over 40% in 2015. At the end of the time period, Finland's divorce rate was higher than in Sweden.
