You are part of a group of musicians who meet on Tuesday and Friday evenings to practice in the community hall.
You have been told, however, that it is no longer possible for the group to use the hall.
Write a letter to the manager. In the letter:
• describe what the group does
• explain why the group is good for the community
• suggest alternative days and times for practice
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to request access to the community hall for band practice. We rehearse every Tuesday and Friday evening and were recently informed that we will not be able to continue using the hall.
We are a post-grunge rock band named 'Crickets' and we have been trying to create awareness and market ourselves in the community.
Furthermore, we perform for local churches and small local organizations free of cost as an attempt to give back to the community. We use this as an opportunity to better ourselves artistically and eventually be able to represent our town in the global landscape.
Additionally, we believe our group has a positive impact on our community since we perform to raise funds for local charitable organizations.
We require consistent practice and rehearsal to be able to perform. Please let us know if you could accommodate us at any other time during the weekday.
Hoping you consider our request.
Yours sincerely,
Praneet K Nadar
