Dear Sir,
I am writing in reference to a recent advert for a local tour guide in the newspaper. I would like to let you know that I am interested in this job and would elucidate on the few points which make my candidature strong for this role.
To elucidate I am a local resident of Alwar and always had an ambition to be a tour guide and explain the importance and significance of famous tourist spots in our city to the visitors. Additionally, I have an in-depth knowledge of historical places which are now famous tourist spots in our city. I can explain the historical past of the beautiful forts and their rulers apart from this I can also correlate their significance as per the stories in our folklore thus I can allure them and make the session more knowledgeable.
In the past I have worked in the city museum as a tour guide where many historical artefacts are kept which represent the rich culture of Alwar additionally as you must be aware that the museum attracts tourists globally thus I have had experience of handling many foreign tourists which I believe will play a pivotal role in handling the job I am applying for.
I look forward to your immediate response.
Yours sincerely
Ben
