These two tables point out the turnover of bananas and coffee in terms of euros in European countries respectively.
As can be seen in the figures, variations of sales of bananas and coffee between 1999 and 2004 in the UK were the most value. The rest of sales displayed uptrend except revenue of bananas in Sweden and Denmark.
To observe this table in more detail, sales in the UK increased significantly from 1.5 million in 1999 to 20 million in 2004 and the revenue of coffee in 2004 in Switzerland was twice as high as in 1999. On the other hand, sales volume on bananas in Switzerland surged to 47 million euros which was three times than in 1999. Except for the above analysis, there was a slight decrease in Sweden and Denmark by 0.8 million and 1.1 million respectively.
In conclusion, the UK increased the demand of fairtrade-labelled coffee and bananas dramatically from 1999 to 2004.
