Essay topics:

A friend who is living overseas should visit you soon and would love to stay at your place.

Write a letter and explain.
Why he/she cannot stay at your place this time.
Suggest an alternative arrangement
Invite him/her to stay in the future.

Dear Ali,

I am sorry I didn’t get chance to reply to your previous mail in which you mentioned that you are coming to Lahore and would love to stay with me. I am writing to inform you that it won’t be possible for me to adjust you this time as my parents are in town and they are staying at my house until end of the next month.

Since this is your first visit to Lahore and not familiar with the areas at all. Good news is that I have already found an other place for you to stay, which literally is few blocks away from my house. Therefore, we won’t have any issues in catching up and visiting sites together.

The room, which I have booked for you, is really modern with attached washroom, air conditioned and free Wi-Fi included. The house itself has a massive pool and gym, where you could work out during the day and laundry is just around the corner as well. Bus stop is right across your house in case you want to use public transport

If you would ever get a chance again to visit Lahore, I would want you to stay with me and you will be glad to hear that I am buying a larger house in two months time. I am very excited and looking forward to seeing you.

Truly yours,
Hasan
