Air pollutants in UK
The line graph illustrates various reasons of air pollutants in the UK during the period 1990 to 2005.
Overall, after 15 years , UK saw downward trends of total air pollutants , industry and household but a rose in the transport.The most common source of air pollution belonged to the industry.
Looking at the total air pollutant and industry , in 1990 , total air started at 7 million tonnes and the figure for industry was 5.5 million which was nearly most of the total air.After 15 years , both of them decreased steadily by around 2.5 million tonnes for industry and 3 million for total air pollution. In addition, there was also an insignificant reduction in the figure for domestic from 0.8 to 0.2 million tonnes.
By contrast , UK experienced a minimal rise in the proportion of transportation. It began at the same number as household . After having a slight drop from 1996 to 1999 by around 0.4 billion, it increased to 1 billion tonnes over a 15-year period.
