The number of people living in India and China between 2000 and 2020 with the prediction for 2050 are given in the line graph. The data is measured in billions. The population can be grouped into past recorded data and future forecasts. Over all, it can be clearly seen that India's figure is expected to rise while China's figure is expected to decrease slightly by the end of 2050.
To begin with the figures in the past, in 2000, China's population started at 1250 before increased gradually to around 1420 at 2020. Similarly, there was a dramatical growth in people who living in India from 2000 to 2020, which had the number of change around 320. Even though China's figure had the number of increasing fewer than India's figure, the number of population in China still remain higher than India's people throughout in the past.
Turning to the projected changes for 2050, the population in China is forecast to remain roughly stable between 2020 and 2030 at around 1440. After that, in 2030, there is the prediction that China's population will decline minimally at 1440 to the end of the period. On the other hand, it is expected that there will be a sharp rise in India's population from 2020 at around 1320 before it will meet the same number of population with China's figure at 1440 in 2030. Then, there is a projection that India's figure will continue to rise significantly to reach the peak at 1600 by the end of 2050.
