Given is a bar chart providing information on the rates of five different levels of after school qualifications taken by men and women in Australia in the year 1999. Units are measured in percentages.
A brief analysis of the graph reveals that while skilled vocational diploma level had by far the highest percentage of male attendance, mostly preferred level for women was the undergraduate diploma level.
Nearly 80% of men chose skilled vocational diploma level to take part, which was the most favourable level among other categories for them. However, only 10% of female participated in this level, ranking the least enjoyable level.
Regarding undergraduate diploma and bachelor’s degree where women have great rates of attending than men, the former accounted for approximately 70% for females and just around 35% of men. Besides, 50% of female participants selected the latter, remaining almost 43% of men.
In postgraduate diploma and master’s degree just like the category, men listed higher percentages than another gender, 70% and 60% respectively. The figure for female nonetheless, was considerably less than those amounts for men, around 30% and 40% in order.
