The reading passage argues the belief about a coin which found on a site in the United stated that European explorers as Norse, arrived with themselves when traveled across North Atlantic. However, the reading uses three points to more clarification the argument, the professor repudiates every mentioned point in the reading part.

First of all, the professor rejects the first point which mentions to distances between Maine and Norse’s other site which makes it impossible to create a relationship between found coin with Norse. Because the Norse traveled to far land even longer than mentioned distances in the reading base on the evidence. As a result, repudiation the coin’s value due to distances seems illogical.

As a second reason, the lack of other coins organizes the second point in the reading to argue the scientific evidence. The professor casts doubt about lack of evidence due to scientific achievements which refer to other valuable objects that found in some places. Plus, it is possible to imagine that the Norse when decided to back they packed up everything except one coin. Consequently, scientific evidence confirms the relationship between coin and Norse.

Thirdly, the passage explains to fruitless of the Norse coins to Native Americans as third reasons. In the lecturer’s opinion, the Norse coins were valuables object even if they couldn’t utilize as money. In fact, some evidence mentions to other valuable objects like necklace were common among Native Americans. So, coins as an alluring object could be useful for beckoning the natives.
