You are going on a short course to a training college abroad. It is a college that you have not been to before.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer. In your letter,
• give details of your course and your arrival/departure date
• explain your accommodation needs
• ask for information about getting to and from the college
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to request accommodation at Oshawa, Canada. I will be attending the English Language Course of three months' duration at Durham College located at Oshawa, which will start on 25th May and complete on 25th August.
I will be arriving there on 20th May evening and will leave on the 30th of August morning. I would like to have a single room for this time and I would prefer to have my own bathroom as do not want to share. Furthermore, if possible try to arrange the accommodation with the meals near the college premises. I also want to join a gym as I am very health conscious hence, I want a room where this facility is accessible.
Could you please tell me how much it cost for the accommodation? How will you accept my fee, either VISA cards are acceptable? I had never been to this place earlier could you let me know whether I need to take public transport or a taxi to commute college? Any kind of extra information about the nearby place will be appreciated.
Look forward to hearing from you. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Yours Faithfully,
Jot
