The diagram shows the changes that have taken place at West Park Secondary School since its construction in 1950.
Shown in the diagram is the changes in West Park Secondary School from 1950 to 2010.
Overall, the areas used for school have been expanded twice during the 60 years period.
At first, the school was in the top-right hand and the playground was behind it. Its location was unchanged until 2010. In 1980, there was the replacement of houses by the car park and the science block. During that year, in the place where farmland was once located, the sports field appeared.
Over the next 30-year, sports fields were moved from the southwest to the area of the playground and occupied in a third of the old playground area. There was an expansion of the car park to the old sports field location while the science block and school remained unchanged.
