team work in a project
The reading and the lecture are about teamwork for a project. The author of the reading feels that working with a team has many
benefits. However, the professor challenges all the claims made by the author and explains hereunder.
First of all, the lecturer says that when a project is given to a group of people, they do not get any free right to access everything
as they get when they work as an individual person and the success is not recognized when people work in a group. he also adds
the point that all the credit will be given to the whole group, even though, few people of that group worked on it by putting their
entire efforts. On the contrary, the reading mentions a group can work faster than individual work. Additionally, the
problems will get solved easily because they got many expert candidates in their group. Moreover, making risky decisions
can be avoided when working with a group of people.
Secondly, the writer posits that working in a group can be more rewarding and also very fruitful to the Team members who
make decisions. On the other hand, the tutor argues that the project will not be accomplished quickly as they need many
consents to process a single project. It happens because all the people in a group should agree on the same word. He also adds
the point that half of the people in a group can influence others and other's ideas cannot be triumphant in the presence of
influencers. Furthermore, when influencers propose a creative plan, others might not be in their favor and it falls apart.
Eventually, the blame of the failed project will be on everyone, even who was on the positive side to implement their project
