Your son is learning a second language at school, but he needs some extra lessons.
Write a letter to a teacher asking for her help. In your letter:
- Explain why your son needs help
- Ask the teacher about her experience and methods
- And suggest a possible schedule for the lessons
Dear Ms. Amee,
I am writing this letter to request for the information and the availability regarding lessons for grade one French courses.
My son, Ryan Vu from class 1A, is in need of an extra class after school because of his difficulty in learning the language. He is having a hard time remembering the grammar and slows to catch up with the new vocabulary introduced during the normal classes. Because when at home, we only speak English and Vietnamese that made it impossible for him to practice his French skills.
Furthermore, I would like to ask for your consultancy about effective teaching methods and also your experience with kids. My son is a little hard to get acquainted with since he is a very shy boy. I hope that you are comfortable dealing with such kids.
I would be grateful if you could set aside some time to teach Ryan. We hope that Ryan will start learning with you starting next Monday at 7 pm. And it would be ideal if you could arrange the classes every Monday and Friday at 7 pm.
I am looking forward to hearing from you, and I hope that you could arrange the schedule.
Yours sincerely,
Kevin Vu
