Your child is going on a three-day school trip to another country. The head teacher wants to find parents to go with the group and you would like to go.
Write a letter to the head teacher. In your letter:
• Say why you would like to go on the trip
• Suggest what you could do to help during the trip
• Ask other questions about the trip
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter to show my interest in participating in my child’s international school trip.
I would like to go with my child because it would offer an opportunity to make beautiful memories and I can guidance him during the journey. I always wanted to show my child outside world so that he can get familiar with people from different cultures and backgrounds. This seems to be a perfect opportunity.
As we are going to France, I am a bilingual, fluent in English and French, it will be a great help for the children. I can negotiate hotel rates, ask for directions and restaurants from the local people. Children will be more comfortable with me as I know local area very well.
I would like to know if there are specific items need to be carried during the trip. If there some somethings required for the trip, please let me know I can suggest if can buy these items beforehand or we should purchase it from local French stores. Please call and discuss with me, I can help you in this area as I have lived in France.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
John Smith.
