The number of vehicles registered in Australia in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
The given chart provides the information on the quantity of vehicles registered in Australia in three years, 2010, 2012 and 2014.
It is clear that passenger vehicle was the most popular area of vehicles among six types during this period while the opposite was true for light trucks. In addition, the biggest change was witnessed in motorcycles.
As can be seen from the table that despite occupying a huge number of vehicles registered compared to other transport systems, passenger vehicles steadily increased from 11,000,000 in 2010 to 13,000,000 in 2014. Having an equivalent percentage change with it, commercial vehicles significantly elevated by 300,000 people registered in 2012, followed by a slight rise to 2,700,000 in 2014.
Looking at the chart in more detail, notwithstanding the fact that the numbers of people choosing motorcycles and light trucks were smaller, the percentage changes of them were considerable, with 30,7 percent and 23,5 percent, respectively. On the other side, heavy trucks’ figure stabilized in the first period, after a sharp climb to 423,000 in 2014.
