You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You recently attended a conference and you would like to give a presentation about the information you gained by attending the conference.
Write a letter to your manager asking for permission to give a presentation. In your letter:
describe what type of presentation you have in mind
what topics it would cover and how long it would take
who should participate in the presentation and where should it be conducted
You do NOT need to write any address.
You should write at least 150 words.
Dear Mr. Watson,
This letter regards to my recently attended conference "Automation: The future of Information Technology", which has been an immensely enriching experinece for me. I would want to share the takeaways from this with all my colleagues who I believe would be greatly benefitted from this too.
Firstly, I would want to keep this presentation quite informal and more like an open discussion where everyone can contribute in their own way freely. It would help them to share their problems and experiences.
Secondly, The topics it would cover is the basics of automation, why we need them? and how this can help us achieve our goals better in the organization? I would want to keep three sessions as the knowledge sharing material is quite extensive. These sessions would be 2 hours each every week concluding with a small test every time to keep my audience engaged.
Finally, since these sessions would be quite technical hence I would want them to be restricted till the Information Technology department only. Also, I feel that our main hall conference with the latest projectors and microphones would be the best place to conduct and record these sessions.
Lastly, I sincerely hope that you would support me in this decision for sharing the knowledge and making the best out of it.
Regards,
Jack Nicolson.
