The following charts illustrate the average percentages of sodium, saturated fat, and added sugar, which may be unhealthy in the case of eating too much, in daily meals of American people.
As can be clearly observed from the first chart, the biggest proportion of Americans dinner is sodium by 43%. They consume the equal percentage of sodium in their breakfast and diner which is 14%, while their lunch contains 29% of sodium. According to the second graph, unlike breakfast which has the lowest share of saturated fat by 16%, the biggest percentage belongs to dinner by 37%. The proportions of saturated fat in snacks and lunch are 21% and 26%, respectively.
Added sugar is presented in the third chat which its pattern is downright different from both sodium and saturated fat. The proportion of snake is 42% far mor than breakfast by 16%. Through eating lunch, the population of USA absorb 19% of added sugar. At the same time, their diner contains 23% of sugar.
It is clear from the charts that despite the fact that American people’s breakfast consists of the lowest amount of three types of potential unhealthy ingredients, sodium and saturated fat in Americans dinner alongside sugar in their snacks have the highest percentage.
