The table provides the data on how much rubbish was created by six different nations from 1980 to 2000
Overall, it is clean that the waste output experienced a increasing trend in five out of six countries expect for Korea, which the only country that managed to reduce the amount of waste over the period shown.
Looking first at the amount of waste created by the US, there was a dramatic growth from 131 tonnes in 1980 to 192 tonnes in 2000, which maintained the first rank over the assessed period. This trend can also be seen in Japan, Poland and Portugal with from 28 to 53, from 4 to 6,6 and from 2 to 5 million tonnes of its waste in turn.
In contrast, the Korea could reduce the waste output because the waste output of Korea decreased markedly from 31 tonnes in 1980 to 19 tonnes in 2000, while the amount of rubbish produced Ireland increased enormously from 0.6 tonnes to 5 tonnes the same period.
