The bar chart compares the percentage of six different age groups of male dan female in Australia who did routine exercise in 2010.
Overall, the number of females who regularly perform physical activity accounted for higher percentage than that of males in all age groups except in 15-to-24 years old group.
In 15-to-24 years old group, males did routine physical activity stood at 52.8%, outnumbered females which comprised 47.7%. Nevertheless, in the next five age groups, the number of males performed regular physical activities was lower than that of females. The proportion of males di exercise regularly declined significantly to 42.2% in 25-to-34 of age group and continued to decrease slightly to 39.5% in 35-to-40 of age. In contrast, the number of women who did exercise actively rose gradually until it reached a peak of 53.3% in 45-to-54 years of age. Furthermore, the figure of men began to grow in 45 years old and above while that of women went down in 55 years old and above. Finally, in 65 years old and over, the numbers of males and females involved in regular physical activities was a little different, 46.7% and 47.1% respectively.
