The diagram below shows the production of olive oil.
The diagram explains the process for the making of olive oil. Overall, there are a total of seven stages, beginning with picking olives and culminating in the selling of the oil.
Initially, ripe olives are gathered from the trees and are put in baskets. The second step is that olives are rinsed in cold water by a machine to get rid of dirt and any detrimental insects, then clean olives are moved on the belt to the next machine. Consequently, olives are smashed in order to be smooth. At this stage, ground olives are made into paste, and olive stones are removed.
The olive paste is then put into a bag with holes before being put into a pressing machine. Once the bag has been pressed, olive paste is processed by a separating machine to remove excess water from the oil. Ultimately, olive oil is packaged and then delivered to shops or markets where it will be sold.
