The diagram shows the process of growing bananas for selling in supermarkets
The diagram depicts how bananas are grown before being put out on marketplaces like supermarkets for further consumption.
Overall, there are seven distinct steps contributing to the pre-commercialization of bananas, starting with the growing state and ending with the customers’ buying procedure.
In the initial stage of the process, the growth of bananas takes up from negligibly nine months to a year, of which the weather conditions needed to cultivate the growth are frequent rains and the temperature clustered between 25-30 Celcius degrees. After this step is completed, workers will be chopping off those bananas when the trees have fully grown and the fruits are still green. Subsequently, those picked bananas will be selectively chosen, and only good ones are kept while the bad ones will be thrown away.
Courtesy of the distance between countries, ships are needed to export the bananas from nation to nation. While being transported on ships, this type of fruit will be stored in fridges at 13.3 Celcius degrees to ensure quality. After being imported, they will then be kept in special rooms to rest. When bananas have turned yellow, they will be delivered on trucks to supermarkets where customers will buy them for eating or gifting purposes.
