The presented line graph enumerates the trend for the yearly visits by foreign residents to Australia from the year 1975 to 2005. While the table presents the numbers of residents visiting from six particular countries in the years 1975 and 2005.
Overall period, recorded a staggering rise in the number of foreign residents as visitors, this was more than a three-fold increase. Whereas, visitors from China were least in both starting of the mentioned period as well as at the end of the period.
Moving on to details, the total number of visitors traveling internationally to Australia was about 8.4 million in the year 1975. This figure has climbed up noticeably in these 30 years. With the constant upward trend, it increased to 16 million and 25 million by the years 1985 and 1995, respectively. Thus, making a peak in the year 2005, reaching an unprecedented number of about 30.4 million foreign visitors.
More specifically, over these 30 years, visitors from countries like South Korea and Japan had shown an astonishing growth from 2.9 to 9.1 million and 3.2 to 12 million, respectively. Whereas, only 0.3 million people visited from China in 1975, and grew to only 0.8 million, thus, accounting for the least proportion over the whole period.
