The line graph represents a differentiation of the population of people whose age over 65 from 1940 to 2040 in three different countries.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that at the beginning, the USA had the most age over 65 people, while at the end less than all other countries. The opposite trend was observed in the case of Japan.
In 1940, in the USA almost 8% of total people who had aged more than 65, in the same year, Sweden and Japan had 6% and 5% respectively. After two decades the percentage rose gradually, in the case of the USA, it increased 2% and the same for Sweden, however, in Japan, the portion decreased to 3% and up to 1990, it remained the same. From 1960 till to 1983 for both USA and Sweden the percent climbed up parallelly and stood at 15 and 13 percent respectively.
From 1990, the percentage slowly grew from 3 to 10%, after that, within 10 years the value rapidly raised to approximately 27%. Turning to the USA it decreased continuously till to 2020 to 13% then climbed up to 23%. In the case of Sweden, the percentage decreases and increases over time and ends at 25%.
