The graph below shows the number of tourists visiting a particular Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017
The given graph gives information about the proportion of visitors spending their vacation on a Caribbean is land, as well as where they stayed over the course 8 years starting in 2010.

However, these two figures added up to a high total, which witnessed a vigorous growth over the timespan.
In 2010, visitors residing on island stood at 0,75 million. In the next 4 years, this figure doubled and maintained its status quo 3 years in a row from 2013 to 2015. It was not until 2016 that the number declined moderately to 1,25 million and swiftly rose back to 1,5 million in 2017.
At the beginning of the period, the proportion of visitors staying on cruise ships was negligible at 0,25 million. Over the next 8 years, however, this figure experienced a sharp surge to an exact 2 millions, overtaking the number of travelers staying on island.
The progressive patterns for visitors on cruise ships and the island were reflected in the substantial gains for overall visitors, which started at 1 million in 2010, grew consistently to 2,75 in 2015 before plateauing through 2016 and ultimately peaked at 3,5 million by the end of the period.
