The diagrams below show the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.
The diagrams illustrate the process of manufacturing cement and concrete for construction reasons. Overall, the process of manufacturing cement has 5 major steps, and the production of concrete has 2 main steps.
A closer look at the first process reveals that the mixed components which consist of limestone and clay are crushed to be a powder, after which this powder will be moved to the pipe and mixed. The next step is the powder will be rotated in a large pipe with high heat, after which this powder will be grounded in a grinder. The last step in this production is cement which will be packed in bags.
Turning to manufacturing concrete, the four different types of mixed components which consist of cement, water, sand and small stones, accounted for 15%, 10%, 25% and 50% respectively, will be placed in a huge tank in which this mixture will be rotated together. And the lasted product is concrete
