: The table below shows daily oil production in 4 countries from 2000 to 2004.
The table gives information about the amount of oil produced in 4 nations namely Nigeria, Chad, Congo and Somalia between 2000 and 2004.
It is clear that the level of production increased in three nations with the exception of Congo. It is noticeable that no oil was manufactured in Chad at the beginning of the period.
In 2000, 275,000 barrels of oil were produced in Congo, which is 70,000 barrels higher than the figure in Nigeria, at 205,000 barrels. After that, the figures decline in both countries to 222,000 in the former and 190,000 in the latter. Two years later, the amount of oil in Nigeria rose significantly by 23,000 barrels. However, the opposite was true in Congo, in which the amount of oil decreased by 19,000 barrels.
At the beginning of the period, while 5000 barrels of oil were produced in Somalia, Chad registered no production of oil. From 2000 to 2007, the figure for oil in Somalia grew considerably to 17,000 barrels. In contrast, oil was still not produced in Chad. After two years, the proportion of oil surged to 50,000 barrels in Somalia. The same pattern could be seen in Chad.
