The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.
The line chart indicates the number of requests sent to the Tourist Information Office from a city, which is recorded from January to June in 2011.
In general, there are two trends among the three ways of requirements. By comparison, the figures of people choosing telephone and direct meeting shared the upward trend throughout the entire period, that of letter or email experienced a downward trend and became the least common method.
The number of enquiries by telephone was around 900, which was twice higher than that of requests in person in January. Interestingly, the telephone and person methods slightly fluctuated, after which they matched the similar data in the middle of May. The two figures continuously grew with different pace. Indeed, the increase in telephone method was less rapid than in person. Therefore, while the former reached a number of 1400 requests, the latter occupied the first position at 1800 enquiries in June.
Letter or email was the second most popular form at 800 compared to the others in the first month. A slight decrease was witnessed until March, followed by a noticeable drop to roughly under 400, then the data remained the lowest at the end.
