The pie chart depicts the proportion of water used for various purposes(Industrial, Agricultural,
Domestic) in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia.
Overall, Agriculture uses the most amount of water in many counties, and the usage of water for domestic
use is comparatively less in those countries.
Firstly, Agriculture in South East Asia, Central Asia, Africa uses more than two-thirds of water( 81%, 88%, and 84% ).
Moreover, usage of water by domestic and industrial is very less. Only 7% and 12% are used for domestic and industrial purposes in South East Asia.
However, it goes worse in Central Asia and Africa with only 7% and 9% in domestic use, 5% and 7% for industries.
However, few countries use less water for agriculture when compared to the countries mentioned above. In South America, agriculture uses 71% of water, 19% of the water used for domestic purposes, and the rest for industrial purposes. However, the proportion of people using water for agriculture is drastically low with just 10% and 48% in South America and North America. In South America, Industries use 19%, and 10% goes to domestic use.
In NA, 48% is used by industries, and 39% is for domestic use.
