The table illustrates the number of people who visited the cinema and the average frequency of visitors of all ages between 1996 to 2000. Whereas, the line graph demonstrates the visitors with different age groups in the same years in Australia. Units are measured in percentage.
Overall, more than half of the Australians are interested in cinema and the rate was increased over the years. Along with that the overwhelming majority of youngsters with the age of 14 to 24 are the main ages of film participation.
In the table, about 62% of people attended the film while the average frequency of visits with 10.3%. However, after one year there were a significant increase in visitors with 72% and the average was 11.1%. Whereas, for the following years the average frequency of visitors in Australia was 8.3% when the participation remained steadily with 72 % at the end of the period.
regarding the line graph, people with 14 to 24 and 25 to 35 years were around 15% in 1996 compared to around 12 % and 10% respectively in the other two age groups( 35 to 49 and more than 50). After that, there was a slight increase in all age groups and reached more than 20% in 14 to 24 years group and 15% in the above 50 years. Moreover, all other age groups also has some fluctuation over the years and rose peak at near 25 % of 14 to 24 years in 1999 after declined to 15% in 1998. Nevertheless, the graph finished at below 15%( 14 to 24 years) and above 10%( 50 above) and the other two groups are approximately 14% and 15% respectively.
