Overall, it can be seen that the figure for local calls was the highest in three categories. Additionally, the figure for national/international calls and mobiles witnessed an upward trend during the period.
According to the chart, in 1995, the number of minutes of local calls was more than 70 minutes, which was considerably higher than naitonal/international calls and mobiles. The figure rose rapidly and peaked at 90 minutes in 1990. The minutes of local calls witnessed first decrease in 2000. At the end of the period, the minutes of telephone local calls stayed the same as the data in 1995.
In 1995, the number of minutes of national and international calls in the UK was 2 minutes, which was the lowest data, and followed by mobiles, with nearly 40 minutes. During the period, the figure for naitonal and international calls increased steadily and reached more than 60 minutes at the end of the period. The figure for mobiles grew significantly from 1995 to 2002, the minutes of mobiles was 45 minutes in 2002. The distance between three categories was reduced during the 12-year period.
