The given graph illustrates how households in one nation had spent their weekly salary in 1968 and in 2018. Overall, it can be seen that in 1968, people used to buy food more than anything else while in 2018 their weekly income was highly gone for leisure. In addition, their weekly spending on household goods was similar in both years.

To begin with, individuals used to spend %35 of their weekly money on food in 1968 whereas in 2018 only %17 of their weekly expenditure was for buying food. Likewise, people tend to allocate %6 for fuel and power in 1968, but in 2018 it became less than %4. Clothing and footware had %10 of weekly spending in 1968, yet in 2018 it had decreased to %5.

However, when families spent less on leisure in 1968, their weekly spending on leisure had increased to %23 in 2018. The same for housing, %10 of the weekly expenditure had been allocated in 1968 whereas in 2018 households spent almost the double on husing. Comparing to household goods, people spent equally on their house goods in both 1968 and 2018.
