A glance at the tables provided reveals the similarities in the figures for the average hours worked by part-time and full-time males and females in 2002 in three European countries, namely Greece, Netherlands and UK.

The Netherlands followed the lead, accounting for 38 hours for both sexes, followed by the UK, whose men and women have 37 hours and 37.5 hours respectively.
The number of hours on average for part-workers was considerably lower than that of full-workers. Similar to the full-time workers, Greece registered the highest figure with 29,3 hours for women and 30 hours for men, followed by the Netherlands, occupying 29.2 for the former as well as 28.3 for the latter. The UK had the third highest number, constituting 28 and 29 respectively in females and males.
